Folks -

Many of you are already aware of the SIPIT - the SIP Forum's
Interoperability Test Event.

SIPIT 18 has been scheduled. It will take place in Tokyo April 17-21,
2006.
JPNIC is hosting the event, with the support of the WIDE project,
NiCT, MIC, TTC, HATS and others.

Registration will open in a few weeks. Watch http://www.sipit.net for
details.

If you're not already familiar with SIPIT, there is an introduction
for first time attendees at
that site that describes what the events are like. In a nutshell, the
event is a week-long
engineering test of SIP implementations - we discover and correct
bugs in the specifications
and bugs in the implementations. The only requirement for
participation is having an
implementation to test. Only people testing implementations are
allowed in - it's not a trade
show. There are no scores or published results naming individual
implementations.

If you are building a product based on resip, I strongly encourage
you to attend.

Thanks,

RjS
