There is a script in /sip/ now that allows you to safely update the 
svn:ignore properties on all the directories under sip.

To use , ensure that the files you want to ignore are in .cvsignore 
files (just like CVS) then run the script from the sip directory with:

sh update-svn-ignores.sh

This should keep people happy and keep the props from getting too 
confused.
