Re: [reSIProcate-users] question about ip address

2 public IP Addresses are only required for legacy STUN support.  If your clients require this for NAT mode discovery then you will need both addresses.  If you clients support ICE then it shouldn't be needed as they will be using the newer STUN/TURN protocol.

You can use the servers behind a router, but they shouldn't be NAT'd.

Hi

New user here and please forgive my stupid ignorant questions.

I have been following http://www.rtcquickstart.org/ for setting up my stuff. It is recommended that I need to have 2 ip addresses.

- Do I have to have 2 public unique ip addresses? Will a single ip address with an alias work (under Linux)?

- Can I use the resiprocate server behind a router ? Does it have to be fully exposed to outside (beside blocking some stuff with iptables)

thanks
