[reSIProcate-users] question about ip address

Hi

New user here and please forgive my stupid ignorant questions. 

I have been following http://www.rtcquickstart.org/ for setting up my stuff. It 
is recommended that I need to have 2 ip addresses. 

- Do I have to have 2 public unique ip addresses? Will a single ip address with 
an alias work (under Linux)?

- Can I use the resiprocate server behind a router ? Does it have to be fully 
exposed to outside (beside blocking some stuff with iptables)
