[reSIProcate] Log changes / build failure on HURD

I'm in the process of preparing a 1.9.1 release tarball

It has been submitted to the Debian build servers, most built OK

but the HURD build failed testLogger:

The assert relates to switch(mType) in Log.cxx

It doesn't appear to relate directly to any other change although maybe
some other change has indirectly caused mType to be corrupt

I don't think this should hold up the 1.9.1 release, but maybe it will
be useful to add some more logging around this code
