[reSIProcate] early media

Hi,

 

1/ When you say Early-Media can be implemented using Resiprocate ? Do you mean that it is possible with DUM?

 

2/ You said in your previous mail that DUM doesn't yet support PRACKS.

I'm quite surprised! For example, the ClientInviteSession's class has a sendPrack() method which permits to send an answer to the UAS in PRACK!

Moreover, if DUM does not support PRACKS, then how is it possible to handle early-media? I didn't understand you previous explanation.

PRACK is necessary to send the early-answer to the UAS!

 

3/ Will the onEarlyMedia() callback be called for an early-media session?

This callback seemed to be called when an 1xx-early  (1xx with SDP without reliable) is received.

This callback sends to the application the SDP received in the response (1xx-early)! But does the SDP sent by the application includes the early-offer, or/and the answer?

3959 - Early Session Disposition - can be implemented using resiprocate

3960 - Early Media and Ringing Tone Generation - can also be implemented using resiprocate - most of the implementation work in this RFC is application policy

 

Note:  DUM does not yet support PRACKS.  So the only SIP based notification of early media you can receive is SDP in the 18x response.  Since PRACK isn't supported this SDP is not supposed to be treated as the actual answer to the offer - the same answer must also be present in the 200 response.

Does it mean that Resiprocate (DUM) doesn't not support RFC 3959/3960!!!!

EARLY-MEDIA is not supported by DUM (RESIPROCATE)!!!

I'd like to be sure of that...can somebody confirms my impression?
