Open Source Is Good for Business!

The SIPFoundry community knows this, and has the business experience
to prove it. It's important that the business world as a whole
develops a better understanding of the power of open source as a
business tool.

We're in the process of putting together a US press tour focusing on
this message. During the first and second week of March, we'll take
this message to several reporters and we'd like you to participate.

If you are using code from the SIPFoundry in your products, testing,
or just as part of operating your business, please join us in this
press effort. You can help in many ways, including (in increasing
order of preference):

   - send us (board at sipfoundry.org) a note with your logo and
permission to include it in the press-deck and to include your
company name on a list on our website. You can also include a point
of contact for press members to follow up with you.

   - send us a case study showing how your business is succeeding and
how SIPFoundry technologies are helping. (See the existing case
studies linked off of http://www.sipfoundry.org for examples).

   - send us a short (1 or 2 paragraph) description of how using
SIPFoundry technology is helping your business

   - join us in-person on the press tour (send us email asap if
you're interested)

This is an opportunity for us all to shine, showing the world the
positive effect working together, building open source where it makes
sense, has had on our business efforts.

In order to schedule this tour, we need a critical mass of
contributors on-board by Jan 27, so please
reply early with a note if you are interested in participating.

Thanks, and we look forward to hearing about your experiences!

Robert Sparks (RjS)
President - SIPFoundry
