Hi,

Why is it that I get....

when I try and look at some WIKI pages.... Does this mean this
information exists and I
need "special access" to read it? or does this just mean the
information isn't there at all,
and if so, then why hasn't anyone bothered to fix this bug or deceptive
message?

Yesterday, I posted my thoughts on the WIKI, and asked for some
information it promises
but isn't there. Does ANYONE have access to this information? I see
the main headers
and topics are there, but no details. I hope that people working on
this, will also include
lots of example source code on how to use the resip/dum package.

I'm now at the point where I need to learn about how I can write code to
let me
get the data coming back from the SIP proxy. On one hand, I'm getting
indications
that there is ONE thread, then on the other, I'm getting indication I
have to create
and run a SipThread and DUMThread.... which is it? Do I, or do I not
have to
create my own thread? Or can I just get away with calling the
SipStack::process(...)
method repeatedly from within the Mac's event manager by "Posting" it to
the event
pool. I'm really confused here, can someone help me?

Also, it was proposed to setup a resip-users mailing list for us
application programmers
struggling with trying to use the resip package..... I think this is a
very good idea, as long
as there are people from the devel list who can help us newbee's and
lamers who just
aren't in on the "ground floor" when the resip was initially designed.

Also, when is best time to create an "fdset"..... Would I do that at
the beginning of
the start of my program, after allocating a SipStack, setting the
handlers, etc?
Should it be done before or after instantiating the SipThread? Where
can I obtain
sample code for doing this? The WIKI is not help... none of this
information is
accessable since I don't have a login.

Since I think I need Login access to get certain WIKI documentation,
would I be
out of line in asking the resip-developers to send me this document I
cannot access?
it would go a long ways in reducing the number of lamer questions I'm
constantly
peppering the developers with.

I can send a specific list of the main headings I need to look at which
are already
referenced in the WIKI, but no details are up there yet.

really!!! Contrary to popular belief, I DO RTFM if the bloody things
exist.

John
