I just reviewed the changes between branch b-release-0-9-0 and head.
There only very small differences left which I just merged to keep both tree 
consinstent.

I omitted Scott's changes, because I had the impression that he always commit 
to both versions.
Also I did not touched Roberts changes (in the autotools directory and all the 
Makefile's and README's). I'm not who should do the merge for that.

If I should do more merging drop me a line (from time to time I have some free 
cycles).
