[reSIProcate] question about IM protocol

Hi all,
  reSIProcate tell us:
  " reSIProcate is ideally suited to individuals or
companies that are implementing one of the following
SIP applications: 
   ...
   IM / Presence Servers or Clients. "

   But it doesnot say what protocol it use. Can any
one tell me that, SIP/SIMPLE or Jabber?
