[reSIProcate] Authenticate??

Dear all,
 In resiprocate,when testing with basicall. I use ethereal to capture the
packets.
 So when i send a REGISTER.I will receive a 401 Unauthorized from
the servers. When resiprocate receive this packet ( 401 Unauthorized from 
the servers ),
what will be happened?
 What will resiproacte do?
 In the resiprocate,which method decide to send a packet? which method of 
which class 
is derived from sendto (cos i didn't find the connect in resiprocate library 
) or send?
