I agree completely. We are currently working on this here, but due to 
the substantial amount of changes required, we haven't completed the 
work just yet. I think that realistically, we'll commit our changes at 
the end of January.  If you have also made progress on making 
reSIProcate 'play well' with autotools, please let me know and perhaps 
we can speed it along.
