[reSIProcate] resip and sipXmediaLib

I'm interested in using sipXmediaLib with resiprocate. I notice there
is some overlap, for example both projects have their own OS
independent layer (resiprocate/os and sipXportLib). Also sipXcallLib
has a useful abstract interface (CpMediaInterface) and an
implementation over sipXmediaLib (CpPhoneMediaInterface) that look
useful in this context.

Is there a long term plan to make these projects a family with
established interfaces between each other? Does anyone know of a
similar existing effort?
