[reSIProcate] gaim plugin status

Hello,

The gaim-patch directory that's currently part of the resiprocate SVN
repo doesn't apply cleanly to gaim 1.0.2.  If I manually apply the
rejects and run configure, the simple protocol doesn't get marked as one
that is going to be compiled in because it's missing a Makefile.in in
src/protocols/simple/.

Is this sub-project still active?  Does it require any other software
installed to build?  Will there ever be a standalone download for
gaim-patch so that it can be used as a dynamic plugin like
gaim-encryption can be?
