I have added a file to the contrib/ares project called ares_local.c 
(and ares_local.h).
WIN32: Please update your personal project files to include 
ares_local.c in your closure.
UNIX: Please let me know if the configure script in ares does not work 
for you. I will update it
ASAP. If you are blocked, please revert your ares directory to revision 
3047.
