[reSIProcate-users] Meaning of this transport

Hi

    When I read RFC3261,in section 5 paragraph 6 line 3：

   When a TU wishes to send a request, it creates a client transaction instance and 
passes it the request along with the destination IP address, port, and transport to
which to send the request.

What does that transport mean，a protocol or something else?
