[reSIProcate-users] reSIProcate on RHEL6 (+CentOS 6 and related distributions)
The v1.8.7 release is able to build seamlessly with the rpmbuild command
on Fedora 17 and above
The upcoming v1.8.8 release will support rpmbuild on RHEL6 and
derivatives such as CentOS
I've just pushed the last remaining dependency, asio-devel, to EPEL6[1].
This means it's possible to get all dependencies and build tools from
EPEL using yum, e.g.
yum install asio-devel openssl-devel ...
and then build the package itself with:
rpmbuild -tb resiprocate-1.8.8.tar.gz
reSIProcate is an official Fedora package already. Whenever v1.9.x is
released, that may be pushed into EPEL6 to allow complete installation
with yum.
