[reSIProcate-users] Debian 7 released (with reSIProcate)

Debian 7 has just been released.
  http://www.debian.org/News/2013/20130504

Of particular interest, this is the first stable release of Debian with
the reSIProcate packages.

The exact version is 1.8.5 with some patches cherry-picked from 1.8.6
and 1.8.7

Debian's stable releases are typically supported for 1 year after the
subsequent release. With 2 years between releases, that means this
version of reSIProcate will be supported in Debian for about 3 - 3.5
years. At a bare minimum, even if no new features are ever released on
1.8, this means there is a rapid way to deliver urgent security updates.

The packages have also been propagating to other distributions, e.g. the
recent Ubuntu "Raring Ringtail" release also includes 1.8.5
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/resiprocate

This propagation happens automatically from the Debian archives - once
the package was in Debian, no further effort was needed to get it into
Ubuntu.
