Without the ability to capture the problem in situ, that's not something
I can make a guess about. If it's not a double-delete, then the other
prime suspect is a buffer overflow somewhere; but, again, this could be
in the stack or in your app.
Really, your best bet in either case is to run your app inside some kind
of memory bounds checker -- it'll show up errors that don't even cause
crashes, which will make this problem much easier to track down.
The reason we're still at 1.2 is due to the fact that we run a lot of systems
and that my time is limited. :-) But it's definitely on my list of things that
I want to do.
