Re: [reSIProcate-users] installing resiprocate on a gentoo machine

Hi Lorenzo,

I recommend that you use the lastest svn revision of reTurn, since there has been a number of important fixes since the 1.4.1 release.  These fixes include a complete pass of the test cases in ietf-draft-stun-test-vectors.  There should be no need to compile either asio or the boost libraries, we only make use of the code in the header files of these projects.  However, you will need to configure them for your specific platform first.  The define BOOST_ALL_NO_LIB is required in order to use the boost library in NO_LIB mode, however this should be added automatically by the resiprocate build system.

The build errors you've included below - look related to the recently added resiprocate faststream implementation.  You can disable resip faststreams by ensuring the following line is uncommented in resipfaststreams.hxx:
#define RESIP_USE_STL_STREAMS

The version of resipfaststreams in SVN head, should already have fast streams disabled, so you shouldn't get the errors below, if using SVN head.  I don't see any issues with the resiprocate configure options that you have selected.

hi!

i've tried installing both the stable and the latest svn revision of
resiprocate (actually i'd be only interested in reTurn), but i've been
having some problems.

if anyone could tell me which flags i should abilitate while compiling
the dependencies, i'd be really grateful :)

i've compiled
. asio with only ssl support (the other flags were doc, examples, test)
. boost with _no_ flags enabled (-debug -doc -expat -icu -mpi -tools)

the following is the compilation error i received while compiling the
stable release:
