Re: [reSIProcate-users] AUTH_BASIC vs AUTH_DIGEST

        Yes; resip uses only Digest.

Best regards,
Byron Campen

Found this in RFC 3261 (Pg: 193):
Note that due to its weak security, the usage of "Basic" authentication has been deprecated. Servers MUST NOT accept credentials using the "Basic" athorization scheme, and servers also MUST NOT challenge with "Basic". This
is a change from RFC 2543.

I guess that's the reason I don't find it in Resiprocate.

Thanks,
Vasanthi

Subject: AUTH_BASIC vs AUTH_DIGEST

I have an exiting SIP stack which differentiate between AUTH_BASIC and
AUTH_DIGEST in the proxy settings. Need some help in implementing the same thing in Resiprocate. I'm trying to set Proxy details in User Profile as UAC for an outgoing call. I don't find any authentication mechanism related code
for AUTH_BASIC and AUTH_DIGEST in Resiprocate. Any help ???

Thanks,
Vasanthi
