You can try the following google search to see some old posts:

It seems that there was some success in the past, but it was
quite some time ago. I’m not sure that anyone has built on VC6
recently. Everything builds on VS2003, VS2005 and VS2008. There is
a free version of VS2005 (Express Edition) that can be used if licensing is
