Re: [reSIProcate] Rookie questions
Scott,
Thanks for the db4 clarification.
Do you know if reSIProcate is a good choice for adding SIP trunking to a
proprietary PBX? Do you prefer an alternative open source SIP stack for that
specific purpose?
Thanks very much for your insight.
Jim

Make all - builds repro, a SIP proxy based off of the reciprocate stack. Repro
is the only component that uses db4. You will not require repro or db4 in
order to add SIP trunking.

Subject: [reSIProcate] Rookie questions
Hello,
Is reSIProcate an appropriate technology to add SIP trunking capability to a
proprietary PBX?
I see that 'make all' requires db4-devel (Berkeley DB), which is licensed by
Oracle. But if I run 'make resiprocate', db4-devel is not required.
Is it correct that I can deploy the reSIProcate SIP stack without requiring a
DB4 license?
What functionality in components built by 'make all' does require DB4? Are
these perhaps components that I don't need to distribute? The objective is to
add SIP trunking to a proprietary PBX.
Thanks.
Jim
