[reSIProcate] On Registration - pls clarify

Hi
all,
I have a very
fundamental query.
What happens when a
first REGISTER arrives from a UA to a Register and it does
not
have a Contact
header field ?
Will it be ok to say
( as per RFC 3261 ) that the Registrar will respond with 200 OK with Contact
header field
containing no values
( empty ). Will or should the Registrar actually create an index
into its "Location service"
database with the
AOR of the To header and leave it empty ? Or should it simply respond with 200
OK and do
nothing
?
Any comments
?
