[reSIProcate] Load test: assert from resip::TransactionState::sendToWire

Hello,

I posted this a few months back also but could not get any response.
Basically I have an application that uses resiprocate (does not use dum)
to exchange presence and messages with another SIMPLE entity.

Functionally it works wonderfully. It has been running for 3 months and
no issues.

When I run a load test which basically logs in a lot of users in a short
period of time, I see this assert from TransactionSate. Something about
UNKNOWN_TRANSPORT. I am using a resiprocate version from late April. Did
not update to 0.9.0 since it is too close to release.

I can provide more information if needed. Can someone explain the
circumstances under which you can see this assert. Code author? As I
mentioned, it only happens under load test.

Is it related somehow to doing many DNS lookups in a short period of
time? Is there any DNS caching feature provided by the stack? Right now
every request leads to a DNS lookup even if all of them are going to the
same destination.

Any help / pointers / suggestions are greatly appreciated. Need to get
this resolved ASAP..

Thanks
Sandeep
