Subversion provides a nice way to end-of-life branches;
svn delete removes a branch, but the branch is still available at repository
revisions pre-branch removal. See http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.0/svn-book.html#svn-ch-4-sect-7 Jason & have removed our development branches, but there
are lots of branches that look defunct in the repository. Could everyone
remove branches they are no longer using? I also propose that we delete
any branches that haven’t been used within a year. Again, no
information is lost, but it makes browsing/checking out the whole repository
much nicer. --Derek PS – how about march 28th as the ‘remove
>1 year old branches day’ |
