I have no issues with building ParseBuffer.hxx under VS.NET 2003 (7.1).

I would suggest that you post this to the resiprocate-devel mailing 
list.
In general, things have been working for others, if this is a problem, 
the compat.h file should define a type that is appropriate -- I'm not 
excessively familiar with the Windows compilation requirements, but 
other people on the list are.
